According to market data, domestic sales of energy storage batteries in May reached 55.2 GWh, representing a substantial year-on-year increase of 52.7%, and the cumulative growth for the first five months of the year was as high as 87.7%.
Meanwhile, total combined sales of power batteries and energy storage batteries amounted to 182.2 GWh, rising by 47.4% YoY. Within this total, power battery exports recorded 20.1 GWh, up 48.7% from the same period last year. These figures demonstrate that the robust growth in electric vehicle exports has effectively cushioned the pressures in the domestic market and has emerged as a key pillar underpinning the stable development of the industry.
