GACC: China's stainless steel exports rise 5% MoM in May

China's stainless steel exports rebounded by 5.4% from April to 415,678 tonnes in May, new data from the General Administration of Customs (GACC) show. The volume is still down 4.7% from the same month last year, however.

For January-May, cumulative stainless exports reached 1.61 million tonnes, down 23.6% year-on-year, the data suggest. The on-month increase in May exports resulted largely from surging shipments to India and Turkey.
