NBS: China copper semis output falls 4% MoM in May

China's production of semi-finished copper products totaled around 2.06 million tonnes in May, down 3.9% from April and 4.3% year-on-year, new data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show.

The decline was mainly attributable to softening demand for the semis, with some end-use sectors such as hardware manufacturing entering their traditional off-season, Mysteel Global noted.
