NBS: China's copper semis output recovers MoM in September

China's output of semi-finished copper products reached 2.05 million tonnes in September, recovering by 82,000 tonnes or 4.2% from August, according to new data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). However, the figure represented a 182,000-tonne or 8.2% decline year-on-year.

The on-month recovery in September came as domestic demand showed signs of stabilizing amid policy support measures, industry sources note. Despite the improvement, the on-year contraction reflected ongoing challenges in the property sector and weaker infrastructure investment growth. For the January-September period, China's cumulative copper semis production totaled 18.01 million
