On June 23, NatPower and Tesla entered into a multi-year supply and execution agreement covering more than 25 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the European market.
The agreement covers the initial project phase, which comprises five projects in Italy and the United Kingdom, to be owned and operated by NatPower. Tesla will supply its Megapack battery energy storage systems, along with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services and bankable transaction support, while also providing long-term revenue assurance through its Autobidder platform (a price-analysis and trading software for electricity markets).
The overall project pipeline targets a total installed capacity exceeding 100 GWh, with total construction costs estimated at USD 4–5 billion and projected project revenues exceeding USD 15 billion over a 20-year period.
