On June 25, 2026, PT Gunbuster Nickel Industry (GNI) issued a statement on its official website confirming that, pursuant to a ruling by the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, the company has been legally placed under a temporary suspension of debt payment obligations (PKPU). Prior to the court's decision, GNI had held multiple amicable negotiations with relevant parties in an effort to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. The company stated that it has always acted in good faith to fulfill and address its obligations, but the legal process continued in accordance with applicable regulations.

The PKPU proceeding was initiated under case No. 140/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2026/PN.Niaga.Jkt.Pst of the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court. GNI said it respects and complies with all provisions of the court's ruling, noting that PKPU is a legal mechanism within Indonesia's legal framework designed to provide debtors and creditors with an orderly, transparent, and fair restructuring opportunity. The company is committed to ensuring that its business operations continue normally and without disruption throughout the process.

GNI believes the PKPU process is an appropriate avenue to facilitate constructive dialogue with its creditors and to seek a sustainable solution for meeting its obligations. The company will adhere to the principles of transparency, accountability, and good corporate governance throughout the process, and will fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

GNI expressed its gratitude to its employees, creditors, business partners, government agencies, and all stakeholders for their support, trust, and cooperation during this period. The company said it hopes to reach a fair, constructive, and sustainable solution for all parties within the framework of the PKPU process, and views this as an important step to strengthen its financial structure and ensure the long-term sustainable development of its business.
