Vietnam launches AD probe into Chinese steel longs imports

Vietnam has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into certain long steel products for construction use originating in China, according to a notice issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) on July 27.

The probe stems from a petition filed by two domestic producers – Hoa Phat Prestressed Concrete Steel Co., Ltd. and Viet Nhat Prestressed Steel Bar Joint Stock Company – alleging that Chinese-origin products are being dumped into the Vietnamese market and causing significant material injury to the domestic industry.
