DoC: U.S. steel imports rebound to 14-mth high in July

The United States imported around 2.06 million tonnes of steel products in July, the highest monthly volume since June last year, according to new data released by the U.S. Census Bureau under the Department of Commerce (DoC). The volume rose 7.8% from June and 1.2% from a year earlier.

The value of July steel imports registered $1.98 billion, up 4.6% month on month. However, this was 9.6% lower than the year-earlier level.
