On September 23, Zijin Longking announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Zijin Longking Clean Energy, plans to invest in and construct the Phase II solar-plus-storage project for the Rosebel Gold Mine in Suriname.
The project will have a construction scale of 170 MWp of PV plus 120 MW/120 MWh of energy storage, with a total investment of approximately USD 150 million, which is intended to be self-funded by the company. The project is scheduled to complete construction in Q3 2027 and is expected to generate approximately 244 million kWh of electricity per year on average.
