China's photovoltaic installed capacity will continue to grow over the next three years, although the pace of expansion is expected to moderate, according to the China Electric Power Development Report 2026. The report estimates that annual PV additions will remain at around 200GW, supported by renewable energy bases in desert, Gobi and wasteland areas, integrated hydro-wind-solar bases and distributed PV development across multiple application scenarios. The outlook points to sustained demand for solar equipment, while grid integration, land use and project execution will become increasingly important to the pace of deployment.
