CSSC: China's Aug crude stainless steel output edges up

China's crude stainless steel output recovered slightly in August, with the total tonnage rising by 32,000 tonnes or 0.9% on month to reach 3.66 million tonnes, according to the latest data released by the Stainless Steel Council of China Iron and Steel Association (CSSC).

Among the total, production of 300- and 400-series crude stainless steel increased by varying degrees, offsetting the slight decrease in output of 200-series, the release showed.
