Vietnam's coal imports extend decline in September

Vietnam's coal imports continued to decline in September, falling to their lowest level since February this year, according to preliminary statistics from Vietnam Customs.

The country's coal imports totalled 4.73 million tonnes in September, slipping 6.9% from August but rising 19.4% on year, the data showed. The value of coal imports also retreated 14.1% from the previous month, yet still posted a 35.2% on-year gain to approximately $618 million, as per the Customs data. Based
