The lithium carbonate market continued to trade on expectations of rising supply and weakening demand, with futures prices becoming more volatile. Before the National Day holiday, spot transactions gradually slowed as downstream restocking wrapped up. After the holiday and at the start of the month, downstream buyers primarily secured feedstock via long-term contracts, with a relatively strong wait-and-see sentiment in the spot market. On the demand side, October LFP and cell production schedules both exceeded expectations thanks to a full orderbook, with December potentially hitting a new high.
