A consortium led by CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co won the first-candidate position for a 600MW rated, 720MWp installed PV sand-control EPC project in Yecheng county, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Solarbe reported on November 6. The bid was Yuan 1.829 billion, equivalent to Yuan 2.54/W, and included 60MW/120MWh storage. Solarbe did not specify tax treatment for the bid. The award adds a large storage-linked utility project in Northwest China and signals continued demand for modules, inverters and batteries. The result is a first-candidate notice, not a final contract, so procurement volumes remain subject to confirmation.
