NBS: China Jan-Nov coal output up 9.7%, coke up 0.7% YoY

Over this year's January-November period, China produced 4.09 billion tonnes of raw coal for all uses, higher by 9.7% on year, according to the latest release from the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). At the same time, China's output of coke over the first eleven months stayed largely firm at 434.4 million tonnes, up by a small 0.7% on year, the data released on December 15 show.

Nationwide raw coal output for November also hit an eight-month high, rising by 5.7% on month and by 3.1% on year to reach 391.3 million tonnes, the data show, while on a daily basis last month, China's raw coal production averaged 13.04 million tonnes/day, up more substantially by 9.2%
