Japan's Aug scrap export tender price falls $22/t MoM

The winning bid in Japan's monthly tender for H2 grade scrap for export held on Wednesday was lower by another Yen 2,960/tonne ($22/t) from last month's top bid at Yen 42,071/t FAS, according to auction organizer, the Kanto Tetsugen, the alliance of Kanto-based scrap dealers around Tokyo.

This month's winner sought 15,000 tonnes of scrap and had reported to the alliance that the material would sail to either Vietnam or Bangladesh, according to a Kanto Tetsugen official. The runner-up, which proposed Yen 42,030/t FAS for the H2 the dealers were offering, bid for 5,000 tonnes. The bids
