MYSTEEL: Indonesian RKAB uncertainty keeps coal supply tight

Uncertainty over Indonesia's 2026 coal production quota approvals (RKAB) has constrained seaborne supply and kept thermal coal prices elevated, Mysteel reported on March 17.

Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has yet to release final RKAB approvals, although about 250-300 million tonnes have been greenlit as of March 13, local media quote Tri Winarno, Director General of Minerals and Coal under the ministry as saying. While he did not disclose the
