IAI: Global primary al output records 6.12 mln t in Oct

Global production of primary aluminium stood at 6.12 million tonnes in October, higher by 3.9% on year, according to the new data released by the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).

On a daily basis, primary aluminum output worldwide averaged 197,300 tonnes last month, up 3.9% from October 2022. Meanwhile, according to the institute's revised data for September, total primary aluminum production and the average daily output globally that month sat at 5.92 million tonnes and 197,400 tonnes respectively.
