South32's Mn ore share output dips 1% over Jul-Sept

South32 Ltd, the world's leading manganese miner, saw its share of manganese ore output from its joint ventures in Australia and South Africa edge down by 1% on quarter to 1.46 million wet metric tonnes (wmt) over July-September, according to the company's quarterly report released on October 24.

Mainly responsible for the decrease was the fact that production at South Africa Manganese had dropped by 10% or 63,000 wmt over July-September from the record high during the prior quarter to 562,000 wmt.
