FMG lifts its FY'22 iron ore shipments to 185-188 mlt t

Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), the world's fourth-largest iron ore miner, has decided to lift its iron ore shipments guidance to 185-188 million wet tonnes for the whole fiscal year of 2022 (July 2021-June 2022) from previous 180-185 million wet tonnes, due to its strong performance so far, according to the firm's latest quarterly report released on April 28.

For the past January-March quarter, FMG shipped 46.5 million wet tonnes of iron ore, up 10% on year, despite the volume was still 2% lower on month. FMG commented that the strong operating performance across the supply chain, together with the successful integration of Eliwana project, contributed to record shipments
