DAILY: China's thermal coal prices retain upward strength

Chinese thermal coal prices saw lingering upward momentum in both mine-mouth and portside markets on Tuesday, mainly supported by higher household electricity use alongside rising temperatures in many areas across the country.

Coal miners in North China's Inner Mongolia lifted their offer prices by another Yuan 10-20/tonne ($1.4-2.8/t) on July 4, in response to the revived trading activities at this second-largest mining region nationwide bolstered by positive signals seen at the portside market, Mysteel learned from local sources. Prices were adjusted up
