GACC: China's thermal coal imports hit nine-month high in September

China's thermal coal imports climbed to 34.07 million tonnes in September, up 9.6% from August and marking a nine-month high, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). The volume, however, was still 5.4% lower year-on-year.

Thermal coal accounted for 74.1% of China's total coal imports last month, which stood at 46 million tonnes.
