Colombian coal exports slump 32.4% YoY in Nov

Coal exports from Colombia, the world's sixth-largest coal exporter, registered a 32.4% on-year plunge to reach 4.56 million tonnes in November 2025. The figure was also lower by 8.6% compared with last October, marking declines for the second straight month, the latest data from the country's National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) show.

The lower export volumes in the month mainly came as a result of output cutbacks at the country's leading coal miners whose revenues declined as subdued overseas demand kept dragging seaborne coal prices, Mysteel Global notes.
