WEEKLY: China's BF mills' output continues falling, profits thin further

Production among Chinese blast furnace (BF) steel producers decreased further during the past week, with the reduction observed mainly in the northern regions of the country, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
During October 17-23, the average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steelmakers under Mysteel's regular tracking slid for the fourth straight week to reach 89.9%, lower by 0.4 percentage point from the previous week, and their daily hot metal output accordingly fell by 0.4% on week to 2.4
