WEEKLY: China BF mills' output continue falling, profits narrow further

Production among Chinese blast furnace (BF) steel producers fell for the sixth straight week during October 31-November 6, impacted by the ongoing production restrictions in some northern cities and widening margin losses among steelmakers, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During the latest survey period, the average capacity utilization rate under Mysteel's regular tracking fell by 0.8 percentage point on week to 87.8%, with the daily hot metal output sliding by 0.9% from the prior week to 2.34 million tonnes/day.
