On November 13, the price of electrolytic cobalt moved up Yuan 1,500/tonne to Yuan 393,000-415,000/tonne from the previous trading day. In addition, the price of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride remained unchanged at Yuan 86,000-93,000/tonne and 103,000-110,000/tonne respectively. The cobalt salt market trading atmosphere was still muted, while smelters remained high quotations due to firm raw material costs. In terms of the cobalt sulfate market, new stock was generally quoted at around Yuan 88,000/t, with recent transactions concluded at approximately Yuan 86,000-87,000/t, while old stock was close to about Yuan 85,000/t. As for cobalt chloride,transactions for older stock, non-mainstream brands still appeared below Yuan 100,000/t. Meanwhile, the raw material supply structure remained unchanged, and cost support for cobalt chloride remained strong.
