On November 14, the price of electrolytic cobalt remained stable at Yuan 393,000-415,000/tonne from the previous trading day. At the same time, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride were unchanged at Yuan 86,000-93,000/tonne and 103,000-110,000/tonne respectively. In terms of the cobalt sulfate market, downstream precursor procurement has been relatively fragmented recently, primarily focused on restocking for rigid demand. However, supported by raw material costs, smelters have not made significant adjustments to their offers. In this condition, new stock was generally quoted at around Yuan 88,000/t, with recent transactions concluded at approximately Yuan 86,000-87,000/t, while old stock was close to about Yuan 85,000/t. Against the backdrop of gradually tightening raw material supply, cobalt sulfate still retains long-term upward momentum.
