On December 3, the price of electrolytic cobalt was unchanged at Yuan 413,444-415,222/tonne from the previous trading day. At the same time, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride both remained stable at Yuan 87,000-93,000/tonne and 103,000-110,000/tonne respectively. Downstream demand has shown recent signs of recovery, sustaining an upward price trajectory for cobalt intermediates. Cobalt salt smelters have maintained firm quotations with minimal overall fluctuations. However, as aged inventory in the market gradually declines, prices have progressively strengthened, with scarce availability of low-priced sources. The fundamental constraint of tight raw material supply remains unchanged. While cobalt sulfate retains long-term upward momentum, the market has stabilized in the near term. In addition, cobalt chloride continues to receive solid cost support, and its price is projected to maintain an upward trajectory moving forward.
