On December 4, the price of electrolytic cobalt declined Yuan 2,361/tonne to Yuan 410,944-413,000/tonne from the previous trading day. In addition, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride remained unchanged at Yuan 87,000-93,000/tonne and 103,000-110,000/tonne respectively. Recently, downstream inquiries have picked up. However, as existing market inventories are gradually being depleted, prices are rising steadily, with limited low-priced supplies. Quotations for cobalt intermediates remained high, and cobalt sulfate offers remained firm, though actual transactions still faced pressure. The rationale for tight raw material supply persists, and the long-term upward momentum for cobalt sulfate remains intact, with prices stabilizing in the near term.
