On December 18, the price of electrolytic cobalt moved up Yuan 944/tonne to Yuan 412,000-413,444/tonne from the previous trading day. In addition, the prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride continued to be unchanged at Yuan 90,000/t-95,000/t and 108,000-114,000/t respectively.Following aggressive high-priced purchases by downstream end-users, the market has returned to be calm. Low-priced old inventory was scarce, leading to a gradual upward adjustment in overall prices. New cobalt sulfate offers have exceeded Yuan 90,000/tonne, yet downstream demand appears somewhat weak. As of now, raw material supply remains tight, and cobalt sulfate still retains upward momentum, though prices have recently stabilized and are expected to hold steady in the near term.
