China's imported iron ore prices fell in both the portside and seaborne markets on January 19, while trading activity diverged between the two.
On Monday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao dropped by Yuan 15/wmt ($2.2/wmt) from last Friday to Yuan 807/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT. The same day, Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines fell by $2.1/dmt to $104.45/dmt CFR Qingdao.   Market observers noted that the downtrend followed a broad fall
