GACC: China's Dec thermal coal imports rise 9.2% YoY to record high

China's thermal coal imports hit a monthly record high of 43.85 million tonnes in December, up by 9.2% year on year and by a more substantial 37% from November, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).

Thermal coal accounted for 74.8% of China's total coal imports of 58.6 million tonnes during the month.
