WEEKLY: Chinese BF mills' production stable on week

Ferrous Capacity Production
Production among Chinese blast furnace (BF) steelmakers held steady during the past week, with most integrated mills keeping their furnaces running during the country's five-day May Day holiday over May 1-5, Mysteel's survey showed.
During May 1-7, the average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steel producers under Mysteel's tracking was 89.6%, while their combined hot metal output stood at 2.39 million tonnes/day, both unchanged from the previous week.     The average operational rate among these 247 mills inched down by 0.1 percentage point
