Last week, the cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride market continued the weak trend, with the transaction prices for spot orders moving further downward compared to the previous week, and the market's polarized pattern remained unchanged. Due to logistics bottlenecks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and delays in the implementation of export quotas, the circulation volume of cobalt intermediates stayed low. Production lines using cobalt intermediates as raw materials continued to halt operations, while the MHP process remained primarily for captive use by integrated enterprises and did not participate in spot market circulation. Spot transactions continued to concentrate on low-cost routes such as recycled materials and re-dissolved cobalt metal from electrolytic cobalt, with actual transaction prices declining further on a week-on-week basis, intensifying the downward pressure on mainstream offers.
