DAILY: China's thermal coal market stabilizes as sentiment turns positive

China's thermal coal market closed the week on a firmer note on July 10, with prices at northern transfer ports holding flat for the first time since the correction began late last month, as sentiment shifted from bearish to cautiously constructive.

On Friday, Mysteel assessed 5,500 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal at northern ports at Yuan 802/tonne ($118.3/t) FOB with VAT, unchanged from Thursday – marking the first flat session since the downturn started from June 22. The 5,000 kcal/kg NAR grade stood at Yuan 708/t and the 4,500 kcal/kg NAR
