WEEKLY: China's FeSi prices fall, output recovers

Chinese ferrosilicon (FeSi) prices declined during the week of July 28-August 3, lowered by the poor performance of FeSi derivatives. On August 3, Mysteel assessed the spot price of 75% FeSi at Yuan 5,608/tonne ($830/t) including the 13% VAT, falling by Yuan 64/t from one week earlier.

On the same day, the most-traded FeSi contract on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange for delivery in September closed the daytime trading session at Yuan 5,766/t, lower by Yuan 124/t from the settlement price on July 27, according to the exchange data.
