NBS: Shanxi coal output plunges 35.8% in July

Raw coal output of Shanxi, China's leading mining province, fell sharply by 35.8% year on year in July, underscoring the deepening impact of mine-safety inspections and pointing to continued constraints on domestic supply in the months ahead.

The province produced 68.93 million tonnes of raw coal last month, according to the latest breakdown data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the July total also being 11.6% below that of June.
