DAILY: Seaborne index pushes higher by relatively healthy liquidity

Seaborne iron ore prices index rose on the back of healthy liquidity especially for the secondary market on Friday, August 28, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased by $0.95/dmt to $98.20/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index increased by $0.95/dmt to $102.70/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Primary market liquidity was relatively moderate, with no mine-origin cargoes observed being offered for sale on public platforms.
