On September 10, the market price of electrolytic cobalt slumped Yuan 12,000/tonne to Yuan 282,591-285,091/tonne. Meanwhile, the market price of cobalt chloride declined Yuan 1,000/tonne to Yuan 81,000-83,000/tonne, while that of cobalt sulfate remained stable at 65,000/t-67,000/tonne.The cobalt chloride market trading atmosphere has been relatively quiet. Producers' quotations are fluctuating around Yuan 82,000/tonne, but downstream Co3O4 producers, hampered by sluggish sales of their own products, remain highly cautious in raw material procurement. Most are primarily drawing down existing inventories, with few new orders concluded, leaving buyers and sellers locked in a deep standoff.Cobalt sulfate prices this week fell below previous support levels. A small number of recycling enterprises, under financial pressure, resorted to selling at low prices, with the lowest quotations dropping to around Yuan 60,000/tonne.
