WEEKLY: China FeSi prices lose ground, sentiment softens

Chinese ferrosilicon (FeSi) prices lost ground during the period of September 8-14, mainly due to the retreat in FeSi futures prices and the weakened cost support from softer semi-coke prices, Mysteel Global learned.

On September 14, Mysteel assessed the spot price of 75% FeSi at Yuan 5,988/tonne ($891/t) including the 13% VAT, lower by Yuan 89/t from one week before.
