Meanwhile, the market price of cobalt chloride declined Yuan 1,000/tonne to Yuan 73,000-75,000/tonne, while that of cobalt sulfate remained stable at Yuan 60,000/t-62,000/tonne.The cobalt salt market remained weak yesterday, with cobalt chloride and cobalt sulfate diverging.In detail, cobalt chloride prices fell notably, while cobalt sulfate quotations were relatively firm and stable. Overall trading was thin, and downstream pre-holiday restocking appetite was sluggish.The core driver of the weakness in cobalt salt prices was the continued weakening of cost support on the feedstock side. The MHP cobalt payables has fallen below 60%, and the market price for cobalt intermediates continued to move lower, with the cost-collapse trend yet to bottom out.
