DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices decrease amid improved trading activities

Seaborne iron ore prices decreased on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 0.88% or $0.80/dmt to $89.75/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 0.84% or $0.80/dmt to $94.45/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market improved. One parcel of JMBF with a November 6-15 laycan was traded at a premium of -$3.20/dmt against the November Index. Then three parcels of PBF arriving in November were sold at $89.85/dmt, $89.70/dmt and $89.95/dmt respectively basis at 61% Fe. Some market participants
