DAILY:Seaborne iron ore index hits new low for the year amid shrinking market liquidity

Seaborne iron ore prices moved down slightly on Thursday, October 15. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased $0.85/dmt to $89.00/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by $0.60/dmt to $93.90/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Liquidity in the primary market was acceptable, and no related offers or trades were observed on public platforms. Additionally, tenders of combo cargoes of Indian F and Indian L, combo cargoes of Kumba F and Kumba L, SFHJ, LONS and JMBF were sold at undisclosed prices via bilateral negotiations
