DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices increase slightly amid limited transactions

Seaborne iron ore prices increased on Monday, October 19, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased by 0.44% or $0.40/dmt to $90.90/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index up by 0.53% or $0.50/dmt to $95.60/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market remained stable. One parcel of JMBF with a November 11-20 laycan was sold at a premium of -$2.90/dmt against the November Index. And one parcel of NBL of November 19-28 laycan was sold at a fixed lump premium $0.2525/dmtu against the November Index.
