DAILY: China’s import iron ore prices dive, trade cools

The prices for Chinese iron ore port stocks and for seaborne iron ore destined for the country declined for the fourth consecutive trading day on May 24, and the trading activities in the two markets stayed dull.

On Monday, the Mysteel PORTDEX62% Australian Fines price in Qingdao plunged Yuan 81/wmt ($12.6/wmt) on day to Yuan 1,347/wmt FOT and including the 13% VAT. Meanwhile, the Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines index decreased too by $9/dmt on day to $187.75/dmt CFR Qingdao. Iron ore traders continued to cut offer
