Malaysia slaps provisional AD duties on tinplate imports from 4 countries including China

Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has imposed preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of electrolytic tinplate originating from China, India, Japan and South Korea, according to the ministry's latest release on January 13.
MITI had initiated an AD investigation in mid-August last year, responding to a petition filed by a local representative of coated steel producers, Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (Perstima), as Mysteel Global reported.   Specifically, the targeted products are flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600mm or more,
