Russia's aluminium shipments to Europe decline sharply in 2024

Aluminum Global Import/Export Shipment
Russia exported just 828.2 million ($862.5 million) worth of aluminium to the European Union (EU) last year, the lowest since 2009.
These losses were almost entirely offset by increased shipments to China and South Korea, according to Eurostat and national statistics services.   The EU approved the 16th package of sanctions against Russia, which includes a phased ban on primary aluminium imports.
