CGA: China's gold output rises, demand falls in Q1

China's gold production from domestically mined minerals and nonferrous by-products rose 1.5% on year during this year's January-March quarter to reach 87.2 tonnes, according to the quarterly report of the China Gold Association (CGA) published on April 28.
In addition, China's gold output from imported minerals edged up by 0.7% on year to 53.6 tonnes during the same period.
