CGA: China's gold output falls, demand rises in Q1

China's gold production from domestically mined minerals and nonferrous by-products declined 7.1% on year during this year's January-March period to reach 81.1 tonnes, according to the quarterly report of the China Gold Association (CGA) published on May 9.
In addition, China's gold output from imported minerals edged up by a small 2.9% on year to 55.2 tonnes during the same period.
