Under the strategic framework of strengthened new energy industry collaboration between China and Indonesia, PT Lithium Source Indonesia-a subsidiary of Jiangsu Lopal Tech-has officially commenced construction of the Phase II expansion of its 120,000-tonne lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode material production base in Semarang, Indonesia.
Phase I, 30,000-tonne LFP production line was completed and commissioned in 2024, with first commercial shipments achieved in January 2025, marking China's first overseas large-scale LFP cathode material production.
The construction of Phase II is now underway, partially funded by proceeds from Lopal Tech's ongoing Hong Kong IPO, further optimizing the company's global production footprint.
